Hello Lykkers! Today we are preparing a gentle homemade apple infusion blended with black tea. This drink is light, naturally fragrant, and easy to prepare using basic kitchen ingredients.
It combines the soft sweetness of cooked apple with the smooth depth of tea infusion, creating a comforting beverage that works well either warm or cooled.
What we are making is not just a drink, but a slow, calming process where fruit releases its natural juice, and tea adds a gentle aroma. The result is a clear, slightly rosy drink with a soft fruit character and a smooth finish.

Ingredients We Need (Simple and Measured)

To prepare this apple tea, we gather the following:
- 1 medium fresh apple (sweet variety preferred)
- 1 teaspoon black tea leaves or 1 tea bag
- 300 ml clean water (about 1¼ cups)
- 1–2 teaspoons honey or sugar (optional, adjusted to taste)
Each ingredient plays a clear role. The apple provides natural sweetness and aroma. The tea adds depth and warmth. Water helps extract flavor, while sweetener is optional for a rounder taste.

Step 1: Preparing the Apple for Cooking

1. We begin by washing the apple thoroughly to remove any surface residue. After that, we remove the core and cut the fruit into small, even slices.
2. Cutting the apple into smaller pieces is important because it allows the natural juices and flavor to release more easily during gentle heating. The slices do not need to be perfect, but keeping them similar in size helps them soften evenly.
3. At this stage, we already begin to notice a fresh, crisp aroma that hints at the drink’s natural sweetness.

Step 2: Gentle Heating and Flavor Release

1. We place the apple slices into a small cooking vessel and pour in 300 ml of clean water. Then we warm the mixture over low heat for about 10 to 15 minutes.
2. During this slow heating process, the apple softens and gradually releases its natural juice into the water. The liquid begins to change into a soft golden-pink tone, showing that the fruit essence is blending in.
3. Once the apple becomes tender, we gently press it using a simple mashing tool. This helps release even more flavor into the liquid, making the base richer and more aromatic.

Step 3: Straining for a Smooth Base

1. After allowing the mixture to cool slightly, we pour it through a fine mesh filter into a clean bowl or container.
2. This step removes the softened fruit pieces and leaves us with a clear apple-infused liquid. For a smoother texture, we can repeat the straining once more. The final result should feel light, clean, and silky.
3. At this point, we already have a fragrant apple base that can be enjoyed on its own, but we continue to enhance it with tea.

Step 4: Adding Tea Aroma

1. We return the filtered apple liquid to gentle heat until it is warm again, but not boiling. Once it reaches the right temperature, we remove it from heat and add black tea leaves or a tea bag.
2. We let it steep for about 5 minutes. During this time, the tea slowly releases its aroma and blends with the apple base. This short infusion keeps the flavor balanced, preventing it from becoming too strong.
3. After steeping, we remove the tea and give the liquid a final gentle strain if needed.

Step 5: Serving the Drink with Flexibility

1. Now our apple tea is ready. We can pour it into cups and enjoy it warm for a cozy feeling or chill it in the refrigerator for a refreshing option.
2. If we prefer a slightly sweeter taste, we can mix in honey or sugar while the drink is still warm so it blends smoothly.
3. The final drink has a light golden-pink color, a soft apple fragrance, and a gentle tea background that makes each sip smooth and calming.

A Natural Drink Worth Repeating

This apple tea is a simple homemade creation that brings together fruit and tea in a balanced way. It is easy to prepare, requires minimal ingredients, and offers flexibility in how we enjoy it.
Lykkers, whether we choose it as a warm companion on a quiet moment or a chilled refreshment during the day, this drink shows how basic ingredients can turn into something thoughtful and enjoyable.
What small twist would we add next time—another fruit, a different tea base, or perhaps a new way to enjoy it?
